Eliconial Paraty Pousada

Yvan is a fantastic host. He keeps beautiful gardens, pool, and outdoor dining areas. The Pousada rooms are very clean and comfortable. Best of all, Yvan is very helpful recommending dining restaurants and activities. You will have a great time at his pousada.

We were warmly welcomed by Yvan, whose friendliness, kindness and interest in getting to know us made us feel write at home. The pousada was a well-groomed colorful tropical garden, complete with Caio the parrot and monkeys. Denise created delicious homemade breakfasts of fruits, juice, coffee, eggs, crepes and cakes. She, also, was kind and hospitable. The pool is spotlessly clean and beautiful. Our rooms were comfortable, nicely decorated, clean and inviting, Yvan gave us great recommendations for restaurants with beautiful views, as well as activities that were enjoyable. Speaking in many languages, he made all his guests feel like family. What a wonderful place to stay! There are good restaurants within a couple of blocks and a beach right across the street. I highly recommend staying here while you’re in Paraty. It was beyond my expectations.

Absolutely loved our stay at Eliconial! Beautiful hotel, amazing staff. Monkeys, cats and a parrot. I am so happy we chose this hotel! The room was well maintained and well equipped, the pool and gardens were gorgeous, breakfast was good, and there’s private parking. It’s definitely worth the walk to the historic centre.

This is a super charming posada with the most beautiful garden! The pool and the whole Pousada is very well maintained with great attention to detail. The rooms are very clean, comfortable and tastefully decorated. The owners speak perfect English and were super helpful with some great activity recommendations (Tarzan Waterfalls) - we felt very much taken care of! Highly recommend!

Eliconial Paraty Pousada est un endroit magnifique et exceptionnel. Les chambres sont très confortables et bien équipées. L'environnement est très calme et silencieux. Le magnifique jardin est rempli d'arbres et de fleurs et il reçoit la visite de petits singes. Les hôtes francophones, Yvan et Ricardo, sont très accueillants. Ils nous ont renseigné sur les activités à ne pas manquer et ont même fait des réservations pour nous. Tous les matins, un copieux déjeuner, préparé par Denise, nous est servi. Les crêpes sont excellentes! On peut profiter d'une grande piscine creusée et d'un sauna humide. Il y a quelques bons restaurants et une petite épicerie à distance de marche. Je recommande vivement la Pousada Eliconial!

We enjoyed everything. The nice pool in a beautiful garden, lovely breakfast and not to forget the adorable owners Yvan and Ricardo. It's in a quiet area but no so far away from Paraty. We even made the walk to the center of Paraty by foot. Also very safe to park you car. And we also adored the cats and monkeys in the garden.
